Make The Best Out of Your Journey

Life is a journey in every way and day-by-day you can be certain of it. Every thought that goes through your mind makes you think and experience new adventures. Maybe within your routine, living new journeys makes you stand between some being external and others internal. I believe that my internal journeys guide me through my everyday external ones leaving me with a new thrill and excitement in life.

My internal journey makes me a simple and adventurous girl always seeking for something new. This personal journey might be a rigorous one since I can be very observing. I like taking the risk and learning out new things in life. Everyday I find myself thinking way ahead only by seeing one small detail. I tend to create a story or an explanation in my mind without asking or making sure I'm right. Jumping to conclusions might not be the most appropriate judgment, but it has made me grow as a human being and transformed my internal journeys. The journey is about renovation and pleasure, and the happenings are what transform us. This is the journey I live inside my mind that guides my life everyday in my external journey.

I enjoy changing my routine although there are things that need to be done day-by-day. There is always a new adventure you may find in your quotidian life. Sometimes an adventure doesn't mean to go out there, but just stopping and doing something different. In Puerto Rico they are a lot of charismatic individuals that you are able to talk to or help. We, Puerto Ricans, distinguish for talking and being extremely friendly. For me, a journey can start by just talking to someone new next to you. I’ve found various times where my external journey consists of helping the beggar that’s in the light asking for money just to have something to eat at the end of the day.

Being able to help others fills your mind and heart full of journeys with contentment that makes you a better human being. Both internal and external journeys make each person who they are and how the act. Usually giving food to those people in need gratifies my heart with happiness and motivates me though the journey I am experiencing. The journey of life needs to be amusing and indulging, and it's up to each of us to make the best out of it.

Always Remember Who You Represent

Being part of a minority isn't something that should ashame us; on the contrary, it should give us the power to embrace our race. It is common in a big group of people to have small segregations that are discriminated due to ethnicity and language. Running Brave exposes how a discriminated individual is encouraged by his own to shine in The Olympics. The support "your people", family and friends give is something that will never be replaced. They are the only ones who can push you to the limit because they are part of who you are.

Bigger and powerful factions of society are characterized for bullying minorities, and many times this is the reason why victimized individuals quit or are unable to achieve their dreams. I believe that stepping up to those people, as Mills did, makes your culture and community known and respected. It doesn't matter if your dream is as big as making it to The Olympics, or a common one as being a succesful professional, they all represent that small group that needs an opportunity to flourish in society. Usually people coming from small groups experience scarcity and are bound to make the best out of what they have.

A person that tends to have everything doesn't know or have the opportunity to know about the minority's shortage. Because of how the people discriminated get to the top is what makes them so special. In the movie, the protagonist may have not had the facilities nor recourses the top runners had, but still, he proved to be the best at it. Although he at some point lost all his courage, going back to his home led him to rethink why he was there. All of "his people" were supporting him in a way nobody else would because it was his bravery what made him embrace his race. The journey might not be that pleasant at times, but the outcome and satisfaction will fulfill your heart and community with happiness regardless how small they might be.
